They are layer silicates refined from montmorillonite ore with uniform quality and properties. It is insoluble in water and forms a colloidal dispersion solution in water. Its rheological properties, dispersion and gelation history are similar to those of sodium magnesium silicate, and it has the characteristics of layer silicate. It has high thixotropy and plastic change value, and its sol will also form a "carton-type inter-lattice" structure, which can effectively suspend and stabilize the emulsion. It can be compatible with most cosmetic raw materials and other water-soluble polymers (such as carboxymethyl cellulose, Hansen gum, guar gum and non-ionic cellulose). The tolerance to electrolyte is also high, and the stable pH range of sol is 3.5~11. It can give the final product a smooth, non-sticky, non-greasy and good appearance, increasing its dispersibility. Veegum Ultra, a new product in the mid-1990s, is different from ordinary aluminum magnesium silicate (Veegum) products and has some new characteristics.
